New to yoga?

Beginners yoga, free to try

Every class we run is open to complete beginners - no flexibility, no experience and no special kit required. Your first session is completely free, so trying yoga in Worcester or Droitwich costs you nothing.

Your first class

Arrive ten minutes early, tell Fiona it’s your first time, and she’ll look after you from there. Every pose is shown with easier and harder options - you choose your level.

What it costs

Your first session is free. After that it’s £8 a class, pay-as-you-go - or book four classes together for £30 and pay just £7.50 a class. No joining fees, no contracts.

Which class to pick

Any of them. If getting down to the floor is a worry, start with Monday’s chair yoga. Otherwise pick the day that fits your week - see the timetable.

Beginner questions, honest answers

What type of yoga is best for beginners?

Hatha is the classic starting point: slow, deliberate movement with time to learn each pose. Our mixed-ability classes blend Hatha and gentle Vinyasa, and everything is adapted on the spot - so any class on the timetable works as a first class.

Are there free yoga classes in Worcester or Droitwich?

Your first Duke Yoga session is genuinely free at any of our weekly classes across the Worcester and Droitwich area - no card details, no catch. It’s the easiest way to find out if yoga is for you.

How much do yoga classes cost?

£8 a class, pay-as-you-go - or £30 for a block of four (£7.50 a class), and the four dates don’t have to be consecutive. Your first session is free, with no joining fees or contracts - cheaper than most studio memberships in the area.

I’m not flexible / fit / young enough…

Flexibility is what yoga builds, not what it requires. Students range across every age and ability, and several started in their 60s and 70s. If mobility is limited, chair yoga removes the floor entirely.

“Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you’ll be warmly welcomed. I gave it a try six years ago, and I’m still here!”
